Welcome at STEAMbase: SToffenmanager Exposure And Modelling database.

STEAMbase is a spin off of the validation of the Stoffenmanager and contains several thousands of measurements with good contextual information. The database contains all core contextual information as described by the Dutch occupational hygiene society. All measurements are stored anonymous.

One can search in STEAMbase for relevant measurements in a particular job title or for a particular task. The selected measurements are depicted graphically and presented in terms of descriptive statistics (e.g. average, range).

The number of measurements will increase in the future. Companies or institutes are invited to enter new data in order to expand the database. In return the particular company or institute will be able to receive other exposure measurement results from the database. An additional functionality of STEAMbase is an output function that summarizes entered exposure measurements in a standardized table format, that you can include in your report.

Measurements will be used for further refinement of Stoffenmanager and other tools for exposure assessment. In addition, companies or branches can use STEAMbase for development of branche-specific quantitative exposure tools that can be used in new legislation (e.g. REACH).

This is STEAMbase version 1.0. In the near future the functionalities of STEAMbase will be further tested in practice. In addition, possibilities for linking STEAMbase with other large databases in the EU will be explored.
